Funding for Business

Are you ready to grow your business? In need of funding to research market opportunities?

EEDA has recently announced an additional round of ‘Proof of Concept’ funding to assist companies in the region test the commercial viability of innovative business ideas.  The fund helps East of England businesses with fewer than 250 employees to fund such research, by contributing 75% of the project cost up to a maximum of £40,000.

Following a break since mid-year when the funding dried up, EEDA has now announced that it has acquired sufficient funds to support a further round. The application deadline is 30th November 2008.

We have therefore arranged to repeat an exercise offering companies that wish to apply for a PoC, the chance to discuss and review their plans and application with Peter Howarth of Technology Business Development.

To book a meeting, please email your 1st and 2nd choice of time to me with a brief outline of the project you wish to discuss (bookings will be on the hour from 9.30 – 4.30).  (Peter has indicated that even if you are not planning to seek a PoC grant, you are welcome to book a slot and to bring along your marketing/business development issue for an independent view on the approach you are adopting and some suggestions on how to move forward - if the date of 7 Nov is not convenient, you can arrange an alternative time with Peter to meet)
